Danny Welbeck could be sold to Crystal Palace in January as Arsenal do not want to let him leave on a free transfer like Aaron Ramsey, according to the Express.
The 27-year-old striker is out of contract at the end of this season and has yet to receive a renewal offer from the Gunners.
He has scored 5 times in 13 appearances this season, but sits behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in the pecking order and doesn’t seem like he will be able to usurp either of them with their current form, he is now very dispensable to the club.
However midfielder Aaron Ramsey’s deal also expires in the summer and the club have already withdrawn an offer to extend his current deal and will allow him leave on a free.
Based on this fact, Arsenal are reluctant to let Welbeck also leave for nothing and would rather sell him in January, according to The Sun.
They also report that Crystal Palace are interested in making a cut price move for the England international, with the Eagles boss Roy Hodgson believing Welbeck would be key to success for Palace.
Should Arsenal sell Welbeck in January or let him leave at the end of the season?
