Mathieu Debuchy could head to Saint Etienne before the transfer window closes
Arsenal have already lost Theo Walcott, Francis Coquelin and Alexis Sanchez this window and that's not going to be the end of the exits if reports are to be believed.
According to the Independent , St Etienne are looking to sign Debuchy on a short term contract and are in talks with the relevant parties to try get a deal done before 11pm.
Arsenal and Debuchy apparently wants to part company, meaning a deal is likely to be a straightforward one.
The Gunners want to create space on their wage bill by letting him leave and the player is desperate for regular playing time, so he can kickstart his career after a couple of turbulent seasons.
Debuchy has been offered to some Premier League clubs but he'd prefer to return to France if he can't stay in London.
St Etienne are keen on signing him and are hoping to reach an agreement on personal terms before the transfer window closes.
However, the report is saying Arsenal may have to contribute part of his wages.
I don't think Arsenal would want to pay part of Debuchy's wages especially after the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on a big money wage. The likely scenario is that Arsenal let Debuchy leave without a transfer fee while St. Etienne find a solution to his wages.Follow Football News Arena on Facebook and Twitter for the latest transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from across the major Leagues in Europe and around the World.
