French club St Etienne is determined to land Chelsea striker on loan in the winter transfer window and are not ready to give up in the race to sign the striker, according to the club’s manager via Tribal football.
Remy is in high demand and has been linked with a move to number of English clubs and could be set for a January switch away from Stamford bridge.
The striker has seen limited first team chances in his Chelsea career and with lot of club’s within and outside England interested in his chances, this could be the best opportunity for the 28 year old to resurrect his career.
French ligue 1 outfit St Etienne has been linked with a move to sign Remy and the club manager has now revealed plans to sign the striker.
“Yes he is part of the targeted players. Loic Remy has a very interesting profile. He operates in a very big club where he’s played little.
“We’ll see if we can do something, but Chelsea should also take responsibility for part of the salary,” said Galtier.
“I do not know if that’s possible. But Loïc is on the list, indeed. I have the right to think that a player like him would be efficient in coming here, and that he would attract the attention of the coach for the Euros.”
Remy scored seven league goals for Chelsea last season despite being Diego Costa and Didier Drogba in the club’s pecking order.
