Manchester United’s bid to sign Senegalese international, Saido Mane from Southampton received a huge boost as he was reportedly having a fall out with Saints coach Ronald Koeman after turning up late for the team’s meeting before facing Norwich and he was subsequently dropped from the match day squad in a game that Southampton lost 1-0.
Manchester United boss, Louis Van Gaal has been a big admirer of Mane and had a bid rejected for the Saints player in the summer and he is planning of coming for the player in the coming summer after initially fearing another rejection from the Southampton hierarchy and fellow Dutch compatriot Ronald Koeman who had stated that Mane isn’t going anywhere. But with the latest backlash between Mane and Koeman; a deal could still be done as United may want to capitalise on the outburst.
Mane is one of Southampton’s best players so far this season, his pace and trickery is something United coach Louis Van Gaal had been wishing to inject to his side, as he looks to revive the teams fortune in the second half of the season after being heavily criticised by a large section of the Old Trafford faithfuls.
Mane and other good signing from the Dutchman could lift United back to being top four contenders if not title contenders after being given a 9 points gap by leaders Arsenal.
