New Liverpool boss has told the Reds Hierarchy that he does not need a full squad overhaul but just addition of two more players in the January transfer window would be enough to make his team formidable with the hope that the rest of the squad would up their game.
Liverpool boss needs players like Daniel Sturridge to be fully fit as he has shown signs of a reach scoring form in the few games he had been involved in when he wasn’t injured. But the England international has spent majority of the season on the treatment table; leaving the goal scoring burden to rest on Belgian duo of Christian Benteke, who moved to Anfield from Aston Villa last summer and Divorg Origi who is relatively new to the English way of playing.
Klopp needs a defender to cover for the injured Martin Skrtel meaning Liverpool are ready to swoop for Joel Matip once the January transfer window reopens in January. Skrtel is set to be out but even if he was fit enough, the Reds needed another defensive cover for the out of form Lovren and the injury prone Skrtel.
Once Klopp could get his wishes and sign the two players he need, the Reds could see their chance of getting into the top four as current Premier league champions Chelsea are in the worst form of their lives while fellow top four hopefuls; Manchester United are having an indifferent form. Liverpool could fancy their chances of a top four finish this season.
