Manchester United have a relatively small first team members compared to the rest of their Premier League rivals. With several of the first team players out injured, Louis Van Gaal is having to rely on youth for cover ups in almost all department of the team.
In the absence of Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo, the Red Devils had to rely upon a relatively unknown Cameron Borthwick-Jackson for cover, while Guillermo Varela has been brought in in-place of the injured Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia.
Young French super star; Anthony Martial has been saddled with the responsibility of scoring the much needed goals to life the Red Devils out of oblivion, while Memphis Depay and Jesse Lingard are looked upon for creativity from the flanks.
Paris St Germain right back and Dutch international, Gregory Van Der Weil will be out of contract in the summer. With the player being a Dutch international, its easier for Van Gaal to make a move for him in the January transfer window as PSG would not want to lose him for free. He would provide adequate cover and competition at the right back for United and he would come with a wealth of experience.
Unconfirmed rumours even stated that the 26 year old is far better than United’s summer right back recruit; Darmien as the 26 year old Dutchman has created 6 chances in Ligue 1 so far while winning 90% of his tackles.
