Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is set to take over from Louis Van Gaal at Old Trafford, according to reports.
The Metro claims the Portuguese tactician has agreed a deal in principle to join the Red Devils.
Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea last week after a dismal start to the current campaign with the Blues but the Portuguese tactician is set to return to management with Manchester United with Louis Van Gaal under pressure at Old Trafford.
There is doubt over the future of the Dutch tactician at Old Trafford following the club’s loss to Norwich last weekend.
The loss left the Red Devils without a win in their last five games and fans have gone increasingly frustrated with Van Gaal. The fans have asked asked their club to sack the former Netherland’s manager and the club have reportedly made a move to sign Mourinho.
The Metro via the sun believes its just a matter of time before the Red Devil’s sack Van Gaal with Mourinho already set aside to replace him.
Former Manchester City midfielder Trevor Sinclair has added to the speculation claiming Manchester United have parted company with their manager and confirmed Mourinho is set for the Old Trafford job, as per the Daily Mail.
Sinclair tweeted: “Jose’s in at the swamp”
