Chelsea are interested in swapping Atletico Madrid’s striker Jackson Martinez with Diego Costa, according to the Metro.
The Blues are currently in the Market for a striker after struggling to score goals this season and have been linked with a host of strikers but it seems the Blues have turned their attention to la liga.
According to the Metro via Fichajes, Atletico Madrid is willing to allow Jackson Martinez move to Stamford bridge with Costa moving the opposite direction.
Costa has struggled to replicate the form that saw him score 20 league goals last season, the striker has scored just three league goals this season and the Blues are reportedly frustrated with the striker’s performances.
However, Jackson Martinez is also struggling to adapt to life at Madrid, the striker moved to Atletico madrid last summer but has only managed to score three goals in 16 appearances for the Spanish club and Simeone is ready to let the Colombian striker leave the club.
Costa has been linked with a move back to Atletico Madrid and could see his the move happen as early as January.
