Chelsea have been known for scouting the best young talents in Europe and give them the chance to improve their skills at their Cobham training complex, although the club doesn’t boast of first team regulars from their academy except John Terry, the Blues still get to bring some of the best young talents in England and Europe to the club.
According to reports, the Blues are monitoring another young talent in France named Paul Bernardoni ahead of a possible January switch.
The goalkeeper plies his trade in France for Troyes in the French ligue 1.
Despite his team sitting bottom of the Ligue 1 table, the goalkeeper has impressed the Blues scout with a series of fine performances for his team.
He put in a man of the match performance against Monaco last weekend as he helped his side secure a point from the game.
The report via Le 10 Sport claims Chelsea have already made contact with the French club over the possibility of signing the young goalkeeper.
It is also claimed the Blues new boss Guus Hiddink is keen on completing a deal for the goalkeeper in January and will allow the keeper spend the rest of the campaign on loan at his current club.
The deal looks like the one that took current Chelsea no 1 Thibaut Courtois to Stamford bridge in 2011 and was subsequently loaned to Atletico Madrid for three seasons where he went on to become one of the finest goalkeepers of his generation.
