Manchester United are not planning on recalling youngster James Wilson from his loan spell with Championship table toppers; Brighton and Hoves Albion.
Despite the Red Devil’s struggles for goals this season, Louis Van Gaal still sent James out on a season long loan with a recall clause attached to it, but the recall clause should be active after 28 days.
Wilson has found playing time hard to come by under Louis Van Gaal and opted to go on loan to gain playing time ahead of the new season. The Daily Mail says United have no immediate plans to recall Wilson from his loan spell at Brighton despite being in need of goals.
Wilson scored twice for United against Hull City when Ryan Giggs took charge after the sacking of David Moyes in 2013/14 season and looked like breaking into the first team, but Van Gaal has no such faith in the youngster with Robin Van Persie, Radamal Falcao, Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez all above him in the pecking order. He did score in United’s 0-2 win away at Queens Park Rangers last season.
Wilson would get his opportunities at Old Trafford; for now let him concentrate on getting more playing time on loan and build his confidence in anticipation of the task of breaking into the first team next season, with Jesse Lingard already a first team player, it won’t be long before Wilson too would show the qualities he is made of and earn a place in the United team.
