Liverpool have been handed a big boost in their chase for Real Madrid fringe player Denis Cheryshev, according to reports.
The 24 year old has only featured for 117 minutes for the Santiago Bernabue outfit this season.
Real Madrid were booted out of this year’s Copa Del Rey for fielding and ineligible player and that player was Denis Cheryshev against Cadiz which led to their elimination.
Jürgen Klopp is looking to bring in young players that would be the main stay of the club for years to come; Roberto Firminho, Philippe Coutinho, Christian Benteke, Divorg Origi, Jordan Ibe and Nathaniel Clyne all being below 25 years of age and are already first team players at Anfield.
Cheryshev has played just 6 games for Real Madrid and he is hoping a move away in the January transfer window would boost his chances of making the Russian squad to the European championship next summer.
Staying back at Real Madrid would definitely make that summer European dream an impossible feat, but a move away with regular playing time would surely boost his chances as he intends to contend with Lallana and Ibe for a starting role at Anfield.
