Chelsea are interested in signing Southampton striker Grazianno Pelle, according to the Metro.
The Striker has been in superb form for Southampton since moving to the Premier league in 2014 and has since then become one of the key players for the club.
According to the Metro via CalcioNews24, Chelsea are interested in signing the Italian striker and could move for him in January as they look to get their season back on track.
The Blues are currently experiencing a poor start to this campaign and currently sit 1 point above the relegation zone. The club has only managed to score 18 goals this term while conceding 26 and they are set to bring in attacking reinforcements with the club keen on Pelle.
However, the Blues could find it difficult to sign the striker as Southampton boss, Ronald Koeman has previously ruled out the possibility of selling his players.
Perez moved to Southampton for £8m in 2014 and has since then scored 18 leagues in 49 appearances.
The Blues have been linked with a host of strikers including West Brom’s Saido Berahino and Corinthians’ Alexandre Pato, should the club decide to bring in a striker in January they may have to sell one in order to create space in their squad
