Chelsea are set to move for Everton defender as a replacement for Serbian fullback Branislav Ivanovic, according to reports.
HITC football, via Tutto Mercato Web claims Coleman is close to completing a move to Chelsea in the next few weeks.
The Blues have been linked with a move to sign John Stones from Everton since last summer, but the Blues have been dealt a blow in the race to sign the England international. However, the West London club are now set to move for Stones teammate when the transfer window opens in January.
The report also claims Everton are already in search of a replacement for Coleman with the move already close to completion.
Should Coleman complete a move to Chelsea, he will replace Branislav Ivanovic who has struggled for form this season.
The defender suffered a torrid time on the pitch at the beginning of the season before he suffered an hamstring injury. Since his return from injury, the Serbian international has done okay compared to his early season form.
Coleman is a regular starter in Everton’s squad and has made 14 appearances for the Merseysiders this season.
