Jurgen Klopp rang the changes for the home meeting with West Brom last time out, with Emre Can, Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho replacing Lucas Leiva, Joe Allen, Jordon Ibe and Roberto Firmino.
Can and Henderson were deployed in central midfield with James Milner (left), Coutinho (number ten) and Lallana (right) forming the attacking midfield trio behind lone striker Christian Benteke.
Klopp will be forced into at least two changes for the trip to Watford this weekend, with Dejan Lovren (knee) and James Milner (calf) ruled out.
Lovren’s absence could see Mamadou Sakho return to the starting XI, though a lack of fitness may result in Kolo Toure filling in. Lucas and Allen will hope for recalls in central midfield due to Milner’s absence. Roberto Firmino, Divock Origi and Jordan Ibe will also be pushing for returns to the starting XI in attack, with Benteke’s starting role far from assured.
Joe Gomez, Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge remain absent through injury, whilst Jon Flanagan is back in full training after stepping up his recovery.Facebook and Twitter for the latest transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from across the major Leagues in Europe and around the World.
