Chelsea and Everton have finally agreed to do transfer deal for the first time since the John Stones sage. Chelsea were hoping to land John Stones last summer but met a firm resistance from Everton; rejecting several bidding attempts from the Blues.
But emerging reports suggest that Chelsea have now decided to move for another Everton defender in the January transfer to help add solidity to their faltering backline; Seamus Coleman is the defender identified as the new target to ease the defensive woes the Blues are currently experiencing a torrid time defensively and in attack with the Blues majorly concerned with solving their defensive disorganisation.
Seamus scored 6 times in the 2013/14 season, winning the Everton player of the year and fans player of the year, he also made the English Premier League team of the year in the same year.
Moving to Chelsea would be a big step-up in his career but getting enough playing time would be his biggest challenge with Chelsea new signing Baba Rahman still struggling to get a starting shirt in the Blues squad.
Chelsea and Everton are locked in a deal for the defender and reports suggest an announcement is imminent
