Manchester United are set to spend big on a major signing in the summer transfer window, with former Liverpool striker; Luis Suarez among the top targets.
The Barcelona frontman has been in sensational form for Barcelona and he almost single-handedly won the Premier league crown for the Reds before securing a move to Barcelona for £75 Million where he won the Spanish La Liga, the Copa Del Rey and the UEFA Champions league all in the same season.
The Uruguayan striker scored 31 league goals for Liverpool and went to win the Premier League’s top scorer award and winner of the Professional footballers Award (PFA) and Football Writers Player of the year Award (FWP).
He has a bad relationship with the Red Devils faithfuls as he was alleged to have directed a racist chant on United’s left back Patrice Evra (in 2011).
The Uruguayan was banned For 8 matches after being initially fined £40,000. It would be hard for Suarez to sign for United now due to the bad blood between the player and the club then more so, Suarez would not want to play against Liverpool; a club he cherish so much; and so, this deal may not see the light of day.
However, nothing is impossible in the world of football and so an irresistible bid from United may well force the hands of Barcelona to let him go.
