Fabregas, Terry & Pedro DROPPED! – Chelsea STARTING XI vs Sunderland

Chelsea start their second post-Mourinho era with a Stamford Bridge meeting with Sunderland, having slipped to back-to-back defeats to Bournemouth and Leicester.

Eden Hazard appears to be the Blues’ main injury concern after coming off early at the King Power stadium with a hip complaint. Reports indicate that the Belgian has failed to train, though, with Pedro the likeliest to earn a recall to the starting XI, having replaced Hazard on Monday evening.

Gary Cahill will hope to earn a recall in central defence, with Kurt Zouma and John Terry under threat. Elsewhere at the back, Baba Rahman will also be pushing for a starting berth ahead of either Branislav Ivanovic or Cesar Azpilicueta at full-back.

Nemanja Matic could again partner Ramires in the midfield engine room, though Cesc Fabregas offers an alternative here, should he not be recalled in an advanced attacking midfield role.

Loic Remy offers cover for Diego Costa in attack, whilst Radamel Falcao has returned to training but is unlikely to be available.
