Manchester United are reportedly set to make a move for Everton in-form striker Romelu Lukaku.
United have been struggling for goals so far this season with Wayne Rooney scoring just two Premier league goals all season while Martial has lost his scoring boots since he started his career at Old Trafford in amazing fashion.
United released Javier Hernandez and Robin Van Persie from the Old Trafford payroll by selling them off to Bayer Leverkusen and Fenerbahce while recruiting youngster Anthony Martial from French side AS Monaco for a whopping £36 Million for his services.
Romelu Lukaku has been in fine form for the Toffees; this season, the 22 year old has scored 12 times and assist a further 4 other times in 16 appearances and has also made a record by scoring in 7 consecutive times; the last Everton player to achieve such feat was Bob Latchford in December 1975.
According to whoscore.com The Red Devils have scored just 10 goals in their last 12 matches and are desperately in need to add more firepower to their attack to help ease the pressure on French youngster Anthony Martial who has been saddled with the goal scoring responsibilities at the Theatre of Dreams.
United are reportedly ready to bid £50 Million for the Belgian international; if the deal is successful then United would have one of the best strike force in the league.Follow Football News Arena on Facebook and Twitter for the latest transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from across the major Leagues in Europe and around the World.
