Manchester United have received a boost in their pursuit of Valencia attacker Sofiane Feghouli, according to reports.
The Valencia attacker has just 6 months left on his contract and has refused contract negotiation with Valencia offer a new offer.
United have shown their interest in the Algerian international and may get their star target as early as next month when the January transfer window re-opens as Valencia will be willing to cash in on the players rather than watch him leave for free come the end of his contract in June.
Feghouli has been in fine form this season, but his performance last season was outstanding as he notched in 6 goals and created as many assist in 20 games. He operates predominantly on the right wing, able to feature as a winger and a conventional midfielder.
This would fit United coach Louis Van Gaal’s philosophy, as he looks for more rounded right sided player; United currently rely on youngster Jesse Lingard to supply the threat from the right hand side and he has failed to carry out that task convincingly, while Juan Mata on several occasions have deputized on the right hand side too for the Red Devils.
Feghouli played in France for Grenoble before moving to Spain to feature for Valencia. United would have to make a move fast to secure his services; taking advantage of his contract situation as he enters the final 6 months of his contract at the Mestalla Stadium.Follow Football News Arena on Facebook and Twitter for the latest transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from across the major Leagues in Europe and around the World.
