Bayern Munich are lining up former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti as a replacement for Pep Guardiola should the Spaniard decide to leave Bayern Munich next summer, according to reports.
The Italian has been out of management since last summer after he was released of his duties at Real Madrid. He has been linked with a move to the Premier league, with Manchester United reportedly keen on the Italian to replace Van Gaal.
The Express claims Bayern Munich now wants the three time Champions League winner to replace Guardiola should the Spaniard leave next summer.
The report claims Pep Guardiola is ready to wait until after the winter break before making a decision concerning his career. The German club fears Guardiola will not sign a new contract at the club, and the club’s hierarchy are keen to secure the Italian as a replacement.
Ancelotti is understood to have showed an interest in the Bayern Job and he has reportedly stated his desire to manage a big team capable of challenging for Uefa champions league glory.
It is also claimed Guardiola will make a decision concerning his future when Bayern travels to Dubai in January.
Guardiola joined Bayern in 2013 and has since then lead the Bravarians to two Bundesliga titles and one DFB Pokal.
