Liverpool have joined Napoli and Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign Chelsea youngster Ola Aina, according to the Daily Mirror.
The report claims the versatile defender is attracting interest from BVB and Napoli and Jurgen Klopp’s liverpool are set to register their interest in the young defender.
The player’s current deal at Stamford bridge expires at the end of the season and Liverpool will be hoping to lure the 19 year old to Anfield, as per the Mirror.
It is claimed that clubs from outside England will be able to sign the defender on a pre-contract but Liverpool will have to wait until next summer before they can get the 19 year old.
The defender is yet to make a single competitive appearance for Chelsea, although he has been a prominent member in the young Blues squad that won the Uefa youth Champions league and the FA youth cup last year.
The defender could be tempted with first team football at another club as he knows it will be very difficult to break into the first team at Chelsea. The defender was part of Chelsea’s pre season squad in July.
Aina recently broke into England’s under 21 squad and could move away from Chelsea in order to continue his development.
