Liverpool have held talks with Marko Grujic of Crvena zvezda, according to Serbian media outlet Zumal. Grujic was watched by Reds scouts on Sunday, seeing the 19 year-old sore once in a 7-2 away win over Cukaricki which extended Red Star’s lead at the top of the Serbian league table to 19 points.
The 19 years old has cut the eye of a number of clubs, interest from Premier League after breaking into Red Star’s first team this season after a loan spell with FK Kolubara. He could play in a defensive midfield position but his best position is as a central midfield
The report claims that following the game, Liverpool officials in attendance held talks with Grujic, as they look to tempt to Anfield in January transfer window, with report stating that the player is looking to put off the attempt till end of the season because he want to help the club qualify for the UEFA Champions League before departing.
Grujic has already made 19 Super Liga appearances for Red Star Belgrade this season, scoring 5 goals in the process.
