Manchester United are preparing to make a move for Everton striker, Romelu Lukaku, according to Daily Mail.
The Old Trafford club has been linked with a move to sign a striker in January due to the poor form of Wayne Rooney. The Red Devils have been linked with the likes of Jamie Vardy, Thomas Muller and Antoinne Greizmann.
But according to The Sun via Daily Mail, Louis Van Gaal is considering tabling a bid for Lukaku in January as he looks to add a prolific striker to his team.
The report claims, Manchester United monitored the Belgian last summer but decided to sign Anthony Martial instead.
The Red Devils crashed out of the UEFA Champions League this week and the Dutch tactician has been criticized for making his team boring to watch.
Louis Van Gaal’s side has scored 20 league goals this season, 3 more than Chelsea but the difference between both clubs is that Louis Van Gaal’s team has been superb defensively while Mourinho’s men have falter in defense.
The Red devils have 5 goaless draws in their last 9 games in all competitions and Van Gaal is set to turn to Lukaku to provide goals for his team.
Lukaku left Chelsea in 2014 and moved to Everton where he has continued to show his qualities. The striker has a prolific record since moving to England, He has scored 53 Premier league goals in 107 games for West Brom and Everton. He already has 11 goals in 15 games this season.
