Liverpool are close to signing Galatasaray winger Kevin Grosskreutz, according to reports.
The 27 year old has been linked with a move to Anfield and reports emerging from Turkey claims the deal is almost done.
Turkish newspaper Takvim claims the 27 year old has agreed personal terms with Liverpool and the Premier league club are looking to negotiate a deal with Galatasaray that will make the player become the club’s first January signing.
The report also claims the deal could be made official within the next 10 days depending on whether the Premier league club can reach an agreement with Gala successfully.
The Daily Mirror reported that Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring the winger to Anfield in other for the German international to provide cover and competition for multiple first team place at Anfield.
The winger moved to Galatasaray in the summer but the Turkish club weren’t able to submit the necessary documents regarding the transfer to FIFA on time and the Football governing body could not authenticate the player’s transfer, the player is therefore ineligible to feature for the Turkish club until January but it seems the player will leave Turkey without playing a single game for Gala.
The pair spent 6 years together at Borussia Dortmund before they left the club last summer, but if reports are to be believed, then the pair are set to be reunited at Anfield next month.Follow Football News Arena on Facebook and Twitter for the latest transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from across the major Leagues in Europe and around the World.
