Bournemouth vs Man United: STARTING XI – Boss Uses VERY STRONG 4-5-1 Formation

Eddie Howe made two alterations to his lineup in the win over Chelsea, with the fit-again Artur Boruc replacing Adam Federici and Adam Smith coming in for Sylvain Distin.

The latter will hope to force his way back into the side this week, having recovered from illness, though Howe could well name an unchanged back-four after keeping a clean sheet at the Bridge. This would see Simon Francis partnering Steve Cook in central defence, with Smith and Charlie Daniels occupying the full-back berths.

Further forward, Glenn Murray will be pushing for a start up front ahead of Josh King after netting the dramatic winner against Chelsea – the latter is available after suffering concussion last week.

The rest of the attack should remain unchanged, with Matt Ritchie, Junior Stanislas and Harry Arter supporting the striker. Shaun MacDonald and Eunon O’Kane offer further options in central midfield should the Cherries boss rotate.

Marc Pugh and Lee Tomlin are now back in training after stepping up their recoveries from injury, though the latter is still sidelined due to a lack of match fitness. Federici is also training, just days after Howe suggested he would be sidelined for a number of weeks.

Christian Atsuhas returned to training but remains around three weeks away from full fitness. Max Gradel, Tommy Elphick, Tyrone Mings and Callum Wilson are long-term absentees.
