After the Blues victory against Porto, we take a look at how the players performed om the pitch.
Thibaut Courtois: 7
He was calm at the back, although he didn’t have much to do but had a good game.
Branislav Ivanovic: 7
A good performance by the Serbian, he is gradually putting his early season form behind him, he marshaled the right flank well.
John Terry: 7
The Captain was rock solid, dealt with everything Porto threw at him confidently. He restored calmness to the back line.
Kurt Zouma: 7
Another superb performance from the French man, he used his pace so well.
Cesar Azpilicueta: 7
Despite being deployed on the left, he did well going forward and also had a good game defensively.
Nemanja Matic: 7
He was at the heart of Chelsea display, he protected the back four well, broke down the opponents attack and recovered lot of balls for his team.
Replaced Cesc Fabregas and put in a good display, he won the midfield battle.
Willian: 8 (MoTM)
The most in form Chelsea player, he was at his best for the Blues and scored a well taken goal.
Put in a wonderful display, he was creative for Mourinho’s men and really got his side ticking. Despite not being on the score sheet, it was one of the midfielder’s best performance this season.
Laid the ball perfectly for Willian to score, he had a quiet first half but the second half was better and he looked dangerous when he was with the ball.
Diego Costa: 6 (FoTM)
An improved performance from the Spaniard, he worked his socks off.
He did just okay when he came on for Oscar
