Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Italian striker Guissepe Rossi, according to reports.
Italian newspaper ItaSportPress claims that Jurgen Klopp is interested in signing the striker and could pay as much as £18million for his services.
The paper also claim the Reds first choice target is Mauro Icardi but could move for the Fiorentina striker should they fail to sign the Inter Milan man.
The Red’s are keen to back their new manager in the transfer window. Klopp is reportedly keen to build the Liverpool squad in his own image and the club owner’s are ready to back their new manager.
The Reds have Christian Benteke, Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge in the squad but frequent injuries to his strikers have caused the German to look for reinforcement in January.
The striker flopped in his time in the Premier league with Manchester United and Newcastle but found a new life in Spain and Italy.
The Striker is currently out of the Fiorentina’s first team and would be keen to leave the Florence club.
The striker scored 54 goals in 136 appearances for Villarreal between 2007-2013 before he switched to Fiorentina.
The striker also scored 16 goals in 30 league appearances since moving to Italy in 2013 but the striker has been hampered with serious injuries.
