Marcos Reus and Mats Hummels are reportedly tempted by the prospect of a transfer to Liverpool for a reunion with Jürgen Klopp.
The German pair enjoyed great success under Klopp during his time with Borussia Dortmund, and he has made great start to life in England.
As it is common with most coaches worldwide, Klopp is now drawn with the temptation to bring some of his former club players to Anfield; with Marcos Reus and Mats Hummels a top transfer target for the German tactician.
Hummels, 26, is regarded as one of the best centre-back in world football and would be a wonderful addition to Klopp’s Liverpool defence.
The Reds arch rivals; Manchester United attempted to sign Hummels all through last summer with no success as the defender preferred to stay with Dortmund. United may still be Liverpool’s stumbling block in acquiring the world cup winning defender; as the Red Devils still retain special interest in the experienced defender.
Meanwhile, Reus, 26, would be a fine addition to the Liverpool squad that doesn’t have the luxury of having star striker Daniel Sturridge and Christian Benteke always available due to recurring injuries and influential midfielder; Coutinho is nursing a knock too.
Reus would be an added advantage to Liverpool as he would give Klopp a different attacking threat. The only problem with Reus is that, he like Sturridge is injury prone
