Liverpool are in advanced talks with Corinthians regarding the signing of Alexandre Pato, according to reports.
Tottenham and Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign the striker but Jurgen Klopp’s men have moved ahead of their rivals in the race to sign the former AC Milan man.
The Brazilian club had claimed Liverpool already had a deal in place to sign the striker but reports claimed Arsenal had joined the race to sign the striker.
According to the Metro, Pato is on the verge of moving to Liverpool and the Reds are in advanced talks with Corinthians regarding the services of the 26 year old.
The report also claimed the Brazilian is a target for Barcelona.
The striker is keen on a move back to Europe and has alerted a lot of clubs. Manchester United reportedly failed in a deadline day bid to sign the striker.
Corinthians President recently claimed the 26 year old will be heading back to Europe with the Merseyside his destination:
“There is an agreement in principle with Liverpool for the transfer in the coming weeks.”
