Manchester United have been told the price needed to sign Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani, according to the Metro.
It has been revealed that the Uruguayan striker will cost a fee of £32million next summer – a fee significantly lower than was earlier quoted by the club.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal have been linked with a move for the striker and the Premier league trio could battle for the striker’s signature at the end of the season.
Arsenal are reportedly in search for a top striker, with Arsene Wenger keen on finding an upgrade to Olivier Giroud as he aims to win his first Premier league trophy since 2005. The Gunners were linked with a move for Cavani last summer but PSG decided against selling the 28 year old.
Chelsea also have shown interest in the striker since he was at Napoli and the Blues have been linked with the 28 year old again as a replacement for Diego Costa. The Express however claims the striker favours a move to Stamford Bridge should he move to England.
Manchester United have also followed the winger since the days of David Moyes; but the Red Devils are now keen on snapping the striker ahead of it’s rivals; L’Equipe claims they have been told by PSG that the striker will cost £32million.
Cavani moved to PSG in 2013 and has scored 43 goals in 79 appearances despite not playing in his favorite centre forward position due to the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.Follow Football News Arena on Facebook and Twitter for the latest transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from across the major Leagues in Europe and around the World.
