Former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is being lined up by Manchester United to replace Louis Van Gaal.
Manchester United are already preparing for life after Louis Van Gaal. The Old Trafford club have identified the former Chelsea boss as one of the possible replacement for Van Gaal if the Dutch coach leaves the club at the end of next season.
Van Gaal’s contract at Manchester United expires next season and it is expected that the Dutch international will retire from management at the end of next season.
The Express reports that Manchester United want Carlo Ancelotti to replace the Dutch tactician should he leave old Trafford next summer, the Red Devils are also considering Juventus manager Massimiliano Alegri.
Allegri has moved to reject reports linking him with the Old Trafford job but Ancelotti has previously stated that he would love to return to the Premier league in future.
Ancelotti was in charge of Chelsea in 2010 when the Blues won the Premier league and FA cup double, Mourinho was infamously sacked the next season by Roman Abramovich because of his poor form in the Champions league.
However Ancelotti has won three Champions league as a manager, twice with AC Milan and once with Real Madrid.
