Manchester United have been boosted in their race to sign German international Thomas Muller, according to the Metro.

The same paper revealed that the Bundesliga champions have identified potential replacement for the 26 year old after it was revealed that he is tempted to move to England.

The player on Bayern Munich’s radar is Domenico Berardi.

Barardi, 21, plays for Serie A side Sassuolo and he is being lined up for a move to Alianz arena as a result of his superb performance in Italy.

Bayern Munich are keen to offer Muller a new deal but the German club are reportedly wary of the Red Devil’s ability to tempt the German striker with a large pay check.

Muller is Valued at £75million and Louis Van Gaal is still keen on the striker.

Chelsea have reportedly joined the race to sign the German international as the Blues are preparing to offload Diego Costa next summer. The Spaniard’s poor form has caused the West London club to search for a striker who’d be able to fill the senior striker role at the club next season.

The Blues will most likely join Manchester United in the race to sign Muller. The German international already said something about the premier league: ‘The wages that are being paid in the Premier League are very tempting. It would be hypocrisy to deny that.’
