Manchester United have the cash to seal the transfer of Barcelona star Luis Suarez, according to reports.
The Red Devils are aware of the Catalan giants’ money troubles and it’s believed that they are willing to part with one of their biggest stars. Manchester United have the means to land the Uruguayan international, according to the Sun.
The Uruguayan striker was signed from Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam from the proceeds made when Chelsea signed Fernando Torres from Liverpool for £50 Million, the Reds paid £22.7 Million for his services in 2011.
Suarez formed a formidable partnership with Liverpool’s then skipper; Steven Gerrard, as both players almost delivered the Premier league crown to Anfield before Gerrard’s slip led to the Reds losing to Chelsea at Anfield to hand over the League title to Manchester City .
Suarez moved from Liverpool to Barcelona in 2014 for a fee said to be £75 Million after scoring 31 league goals for Liverpool and went to win the Premier League’s top scorer award and winner of the Professional footballers Award (PFA) and Football Writers Player of the year Award.
He had a bad relationship with the Red devils as he was alleged to have directed a racist chant on United’s left back (in 2011)Patrice Evra.
The Uruguayan was banned For 8 matches after being initially fined £40,000. It would be hard for Suarez to sign for United now due to the bad blood between the player and the club then more so, Suarez would not want to play against Liverpool; a club he so much cherish. That is why this deal may not see the light of day.
