Manchester United are determined to sign Borussia Dortmund super star Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports.
The Gabon frontman has been in stunning form this season, notching 17 goals and 14 matches for Dortmund.
United’s Premier league rivals; Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked with moves, but now the Mirror says United have joined the hunt and are determined to sign him.
Louis Van Gaal is in search of a multi -functional player and Aubameyang fits the bill. The Gabonese to striker is contracted to Dortmund till 2020 but it is claimed United are ready to splash the cash to sign him in the January.
United are short of fire power upfront as Wayne Rooney and Antony Martial are the only two recognised strikers in the team. During the summer; Louis Van Gaal sanction the sales of Robin Van Persie to Turkish side Fenerbahce, while Javier Hernández was sold to German side Bayern Leverkusen after returning from a season loan at Spanisg Giants Real Madrid. Radamal Falcao’s loan deal was not made permanent after the striker could only score 4 goals in 26 appearances.
Last Week, Van Gaal sanctioned another deal, this time he allowed young striker James Wilson, as the striker joined Brighton and Hoves for the remainer of the season.
Aubameyang would be a suitable addition to the squad, especially now that Rooney has forgot his scoring boot.
