Jürgen Klopp stated that nothing is stopping Liverpool from grabbing Marco Reus and Matts Hummels. The Liverpool gaffer admits he is free to bring the Borussia Dortmund duo to Anfield.
The former Borussia Dortmund chief took charge of Anfield last month and has since been rumoured to be chasing former players Reus and Hummels. And now Klopp has revealed he could sign the pair, because there is no clause in his exit contract from Dortmund preventing him.
Klopp stated ’’I have a good relationship with Borussia Dortmund and a good relationship with all the players there. So there could be a possibility- if we need a player then we could try.
Marcus Reus is a brilliant player, blessed with abundance of skills and intelligence about the game, but his rise to stardom has been hampered by injuries, he missed going to the World Cup with the German national side due to a serious injury; and the same situation has seen him miss some couple of games for the Dortmund team.
Hummels on the other hand is a World Cup winner with the German machines and has been consistently linked with a move to Liverpool arch rivals; Manchester United. United coach, Louis Van Gaal has been a big admirer of Hummels and wants to sign the German from Dortmund last summer but the deal failed to materialise and Hummels stayed back at Dortmund.Follow Football News Arena on Facebook and Twitter for the latest transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from across the major Leagues in Europe and around the World.
