Manchester United have reportedly made an initial approach to sign Paris St. Germain striker Edinson Cavani.
The Red Devils look in need of more quality up front at the moment after a difficult season, and sport witness quote the print edition of L’Equipe in saying they’re in talks for the Uruguayan.
Although Paris St. Germain do not currently wish to sell the 28 years old , United may have some luck signing him if he continues to be used in an unfamiliar wide role for the French champions. Cavani move away from Parc de Prince is largely dependent on Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s decision to stay or quit the Parisian club this summer and also who Paris St. Germain brings in during the summer.
Manchester United could do with an attacker like the Uruguayan, as he is a threat to the opposition defence with his good aerial presence and ability to shot with either foot. Cavani also knows how to hold play for his team mates to get involved.
United would find it hard to acquire the services of Cavani, as it seems certain that Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be leaving the Parc de Princes and Cavani could get more opportunity to play as the preferred attacker in the Paris St. Germain set up.Follow Football News Arena on Facebook and Twitter for the latest transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from across the major Leagues in Europe and around the World.
