Chelsea and Liverpool have joined Manchester United’s interest in Paris St. Germain midfielder Lucas Moura.
Lucas is unsettled at Paris St. Germain after losing his first choice status to former Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria this season.
L’Equipe says several Premier league clubs are aware of Lucas frustration and believe he can be tempted away in January. In 2012, Lucas had one foot inside Old Trafford and that he actually passed a medical with United before opting for Paris St Germain; Lucas 23 was targeted by former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, but Paris St. Germain stole in with a £31.6 Million bid that was roundly criticised by Sir Alex Ferguson.
It’s also claimed that a number of Premier League sides are monitoring Lucas’ situation at Paris St. Germain; teams like Chelsea and Liverpool are ready to battle Man united for the pacey wide man.
Mourinho is interested in hijacking the player and luring him to Stamford Bridge just like he did with the Pedro Rodriguez when it was clear United were favourite for the players signature but Jose was able to convince him of a switch to the Blues; see how that has worked out so far.
United can match any amount Paris St. Germain are willing to ask for just like Chelsea too can, the positive side for United is that they can offer Moura more playing time than Chelsea can.
