Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has reportedly held talks over his future with manager Louis Van Gaal.
The 26 years old has been in and out of the Red Devils starting XI this season, and is growing increasingly concerned that his career is stalling at Old Trafford, according to Daily Star.
Herrera is one of United best players whenever he is involved and gives his 100% for the team. The Red Devils have played 9 games this season with Herrera involved; winning 6 times, drawing 2 times and loosing just 1, scoring a total of 13 goals and conceding just 4times while United have played 5 game without Herrera, winning 2 times, drawing on 2 occasions and losing just once.
This statistics shows that the Spaniard should always be involved in United starting 11, he knows how to create spaces for his team mates, drift into opposition open holes and creates telling passes. He was already forming a formidable understanding with fellow Spaniard; Juan Mata before Louis Van Gaal altered the formation to accommodate Jesse Lingard.
United signed Herrera from Spanish outfit Athletic Bilbao after the initial attempt to sign the midfielder failed in the initial season due to an alleged mis-representation of the Red Devils at the Spanish club.
He needs to be played in his favourite role, as it would help his game develop better rather than being tossed around the field. Herrera can play as a holding midfielder, creative midfielder, defensive midfielder or behind the main striker.
