Chelsea have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to sign Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller with Jose Mourinho ready to axe striker Diego Costa next summer. According to the Mirror, the Blues will go head-to-head with the Red Devils next summer to sign the Bayern Munich forward who is valued at around £72 Million.
Chelsea’s Gaffer, Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to axe Brazilian born striker; Diego Costa after a reported bust-up with Mourinho during the Blues 0-0 draw with Tottenham on Sunday at White Hart Lane and the Spanish striker could be sold during the next summer.
Chelsea would have to slug it out with fellow Premier league side Manchester United for the German’s signature. It would be recalled that Manchester United have indicated their interest on the Bayern striker with several bids being rejected by the Bayern hierarchy; the last bid was reported to be around £75 Million with Bayern Chief Executive Karl Heinz Rummenigger stating clearly that the player is not for sale.
Chelsea are careful with the UEFA financial fair play and would see £75 Million as a big bid, not forgetting the Blues are also interested in Everton’s John Stones who is valued at £45 Million.Follow Football News Arena on Facebook and Twitter for the latest transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from across the major Leagues in Europe and around the World.
