Brighton and Hove Albion have confirmed the loan signing of Manchester United’s James Wilson. The 19 years old striker has joined the Seagulls for the remainder of the Championship season having failed to make an impact under Louis Van Gaal at Old Trafford.
Wilson, who has featured just two appearances for United this season, will bring with him to the Amex Stadium qualities that have attracted manager Chris Hughton for quite some time.
The United young striker has pace and very good scoring abilities; as he showed against Hull City when Ryan Giggs gave him his chance he duly obliged by scoring twice. He also scored against Queens Park Rangers in United’s 0-2 win in a premier league encounter.
United are short of option in the striking position and one would have expected Wilson to get playing time since skipper; Wayne Rooney is firing blanks, scoring just 2 league goals this season, while summer signing; Anthony Martial has not found the back of the net since scoring the equalising goal away at CSKA Moscow in a game that ended 1-1.
The loan move to high flying Brighton and Hove Albion would help keep Wilson in top shape and gather more game experience. Lets hope his goals would help Brighton gain promotion at the end of the season.
