Man United legend Roy Keane has slammed Wayne Rooney for appearing on World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
Keane blasted Rooney for his performance against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday and question whether the England striker should be getting involved in WWE antics.
Manchester United have been facing series of criticism from ex- Man Utd players like Rio Ferdinand, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and Roy Keane on either the team poor attacking display or Louis Van Gaal’s tactics.
Keane’s outburst on Rooney’s off field behaviour is the latest in the series of attack on United players. Keane said: I always question certain players what they are doing off field. Last week I saw him slapping a wrestler and I’m thinking why is he getting involved in all that nonsense? There’s no benefit to him. I’d have a look at that side of it.
Keane is very vocal when it comes to criticising players; he did that a lot while at United. He openly call players name that are not performing well and it was one of the reasons his career at Old Trafford came to a sudden end.
Players have a life outside football; United are struggling to play attacking and attractive football so should Wayne Rooney and the rest of the United players stop existing? Sometimes you wonder if Manchester United are the only club with legends or ex-players; they (ex-players) keep complaining about virtually everything United coach does or what a player didn’t do right.
Chelsea are having a bad run this season, Liverpool are trying to find their standing in the league, yet you will hardly hear consistent criticism about this club side from ex-players; but at United? The ex-players simply became football pundits to slander the team, now you’ll wonder which player is next in line to be criticised by another ex- United player.Follow Football News Arena on Facebook and Twitter for the latest transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from across the major Leagues in Europe and around the World.
