Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho has criticized the state of the playing turf at Sammy Ofer Stadium following the blues champions league 4-0 victory over Maccaibi Tel Aviv.
The blues played Maccaibi Tel Aviv on Tuesday night and goals from Oscar, Cahill, Willian and Zouma helped the blues to an emphatic win to take them closer to the last 16 of the Uefa champions league.
However, the blues lost John Terry to injury and Ramires also injured during the blues training at the stadium.
“The surface was bad and dangerous,” Mourinho said.
Ramires slid and has a muscular injury. John has an ankle injury I think down to the pitch, and we don’t know how bad yet
“For John to leave the pitch with the score at 1-0, I know already that he is in trouble.”
The blues couldn’t rely on the pair in their goalless draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon, both players are expected to be available for the blues game against Bournemouth next weekend.
Mourinho’s side sits 14th on the Premier League table and need just a draw against FC Porto to qualify for the Uefa champions league round of 16.Follow Football News Arena on Facebook and Twitter for the latest transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from across the major Leagues in Europe and around the World.
