Chelsea are looking to sign a striker when the winter transfer window opens in January.
The Telegraph reports that the blues are in search for a new striker due to concerns over the form of Diego Costa.
Costa has scored just 4 goals in all competition this term, a far cry from the 12 goals he already had at this point last season.
Radamel Falcao was brought in on loan in the summer as replacement for Didier Drogba but the former Atletico Madrid forward has failed to impress in the Barclays premier league for the second time.
Loic Remy who is the club’s third striker is struggling to hit the ground running.
Chelsea’s technical director, Micheal Emenalo is already working on a list of potential striker targets.
It is claimed that the club is looking to sign a short term target in January to help the blues get their season back on track and are also looking for a long term replacement for Diego Costa next summer.
The blues were reportedly prepared to only bring in a striker if they find a club that will be able to take Falcao on loan for the remainder of the season and also a quality back up for Costa but the West London club are now considering if they must address the lack of fire power in their squad.
