The reds are reportedly ready to rival Manchester United for the winger’s signature, Louis Van Gaal has been interested in bringing Muller to Old Trafford since the Dutch manager joined Manchester United but he has seen his bids repeatedly rejected by the German club.
Manchester United were linked with a move for Thomas Muller in the summer but a move failed to materialize as Bayern Munich were not interested in letting their star forward leave the club.
Sportwitness claims that Liverpool are interested in the forward.
Manchester United had a £75million bid rejected in the summer, a fee that was considered ridiculous by Bayern chief Rummenigge.
The striker is currently in talks with Bayern Munich over a new contract but it seems Liverpool are set to Join the race to sign the striker as Jurgen Klopp is closely monitoring the striker’s contract situation at Bayern.
It is unlikely that Bayern will let Muller Join Liverpool but Jurgen Klopp has asked to be alerted should any opportunity to lure the forward to England arise.
Muller is likely to command a fee higher than the £75million Manchester United tabled for him in the summer and Klopp will be hoping his personal relationship with Muller will help him lure the striker to Anfield.
