Mauricio Pochettino will be without Dele Alli for the London derby against Chelsea, with the midfielder serving a one-match suspension.
Ryan Mason appears the man most likely to deputise in central midfield alongside Eric Dier, although the Argentine could also play Mousa Dembele next to Dier and start Erik Lamela, available again after serving his own one-match ban, out wide.
However, the Argentine didn’t travel to Azerbaijan for Thursday’s Europa League tie due to a groin problem: he remains a doubt for Sunday. Christian Eriksen looks a certain starter in the three advanced midfield positions in Pochettino’s favoured 4-2-3-1 formation, with Heung-Min Son also likely to feature in the starting XI.
Harry Kane will continue as the lone striker for Spurs. The back four of Kyle Walker, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Danny Rose is also set to be unchanged, with Kieran Trippier, Kevin Wimmer and Ben Davies providing cover.
Nacer Chadli and Alex Pritchard remain on the sidelines, while Nabil Bentaleb is unlikely to feature with the Algerian still struggling with a foot injury.
