Chelsea are prepared to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Sun claims that Chelsea are interested in the Gabonese and are willing to meet BVB’s asking price.
The same report claims that the striker is the blues main target.
The Gabon international has been in superb form this season for BVB scoring 23 goals in 21 appearances for Thomas Tuchel’s men.
The German giants have set an asking price of £42million on the striker.
The blues have started this current campaign in poor form as they have lost seven times this season and has won just three times drawing three in the premier league.
Jose Mourinho’s strikers are also struggling to replicate their form of last season. Diego Costa has scored just 4 goals this season while at this point last term the Spaniard already has 11 goals to his name. Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy have also failed to provide enough cover for Costa with the Frenchman and Columbian having just one goal between them.
Mourinho is keen on bolstering his forward line in January and Mourinho sees Aubameyang as the man to add that extra impetus to his side.
Aubameyang is a versatile forward who can play anywhere across the front three and will improve the Chelsea team should the blues lure the striker to Stamford bridge.
