Chelsea hierarchy are scared of losing its youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek as the club is yet to open contract talks with the 19 year old who has a little above 18 months left on his contract.
A host of top clubs are monitoring the 19 year old situation at Chelsea and the blues are wary that they could lose the youngster.
The Daily Telegraph reports that Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are all monitoring the striker’s situation at Chelsea.
The reports claim that the blues hierarchy are concerned about Loftus-Cheek moving on because of Mourinho’s tough handling approach.
Mourinho in his press conference after the defeat to Tottenham in September promised to give Loftus-Cheek a sustained appearance in the starting xi but since then the 19 year old has only played 45 minutes of football for the blues.
Mourinho surprised the club’s hierarchy by criticizing the 19 year old that he lacks the defensive and tactical nous of the senior players.
Roman Abramovich wants to see Loftus-Cheek make it into the first team and is keen to see the midfielder encouraged and not criticized; Chelsea supporters are also keen to see the player become a first team member.
The youngster has all the potential to be a world class midfielder and has impressed in the few opportunities he has been given but no one knows what Mourinho demands from the player as the Portuguese boss is not satisfied with the youngster’s performances.
