Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Castro Pereira is returning to Rochdale. The 19 years old initially moved to Spotdale for a Month, and was named man of the match against Morecambe in the only game he has played for the club.
Despite his limited game time, Pereira has done enough to earn a longer spell at the league one club. It would be recalled that Rochdale coach Keith Hill stated that he understands Joel Castro Pereira’s position for wanting to return to Manchester United and if he want to return to Rochdale; he would be accepted with open hands and indeed, the young goalkeeper has made a return to Spotdale till January 3rd 2016.
It is expected that Castro Pereira would get more playing time in his second stint with the club after his sole representation for Rochdale won him the man of the match award. Rochdale defeated Doncaster Rovers after the international break 0-2 to move from 14th on the table to 13th.
Castro Pereira would be hoping to help the club move further ahead in the League one table and away from relegation fight. It’s a win-win situation for both Rochdale and Castro Pereira.Follow Football News Arena on Facebook and Twitter for the latest transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from across the major Leagues in Europe and around the World.
