The Blues defeated Norwich City 1-0 on Saturday, we take a look at four things learnt from the game.
Hazard is still the Man at Chelsea
The midfielder was given a more central role and he didn’t fail to disappoint.
The midfielder was at the center of everything good for Chelsea, he controlled the game well, breezed past defenders with ease and kept the ball well.
The midfielder has been criticized for his poor form this season and was recently linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid but his performance against Norwich will make Roman Abramovich think twice before selling the Belgian. Hazard might not score enough goals like the Messi and Ronaldo but the little Belgian showed today that he is the best at what he does.
Terry-Zouma partnership looks better
The Blues kept a clean sheet after so many games. The Terry and Zouma partnership looked comfortable on the ball and dealt comfortably with Norwich’s threat. Zouma’s pace covered for Terry’s lack of pace while the Veteran’s experience covered for the frenchman’s inexperience.
Kennedy is a special talent
The Brazilian was deployed at left back in place of Cesar Azpilicueta. The Brazilian did well this afternoon, he was mesmerizing going forward and did a good job defensively. The Brazilian is just 19 years old and has more than a decade of football in him, his performance today showed he is one for the future.
The Blues are getting their groove back
Chelsea had a good game, controlled the game from the onset and look dangerous until the last minute. Jose Mourinho will be satisfied with his team’s performances apart from the fact that they didn’t score more. It was an encouraging performance from the Blues which Mourinho and the fans should be proud of.
