Chelsea defender, Branislav Ivanovic is likely to extend his stay at Chelsea beyond the current premier league campaign according to his agent Zoran Krneta.
Ivanovic, 31, was recognized as the best right back in the Premier League last season due to his superb performances for the blues and was rewarded with a place in the PFA team of the year.
The defender has been in poor form this season, and has been responsible some of the goals the blues conceded in the early parts of the season, fans and pundits have criticized the Serbian international as a result of his disastrous form.
Due to an injury, the 31 years old has missed the blues last seven games but he is expected to return to the squad after the international break.
Despite his poor performance, his agent claims that the defender will likely sign a new contract with the blues:
“Probably he will renew his deal with Chelsea,” Krena told interlive.it
The defender has also been linked with a move out of Stamford bridge as Mourinho hopes to get rid of the under-performing players and it has been claimed that Inter Milan are considering bringing the defender to the San Siro.
“Rumours about Inter? In football everything is possible.
“Anyway, the Nerazzurri could be interested to him for the summer market and not the winter one.” The agent claimed.
